Privacy Policy

We collect account information you provide, such as your name and email address. We also collect the content you choose to create or save: recipes, prompts, chats, meal plans, shopping lists, pantry items, dietary and appliance preferences, measurement preferences, comments, follows, reactions, and an optional profile photo.

If you subscribe through Apple, we receive transaction and entitlement information needed to provide Premium. We use limited crash and performance diagnostics to keep the service reliable. On our website, we collect anonymized usage information such as pages viewed, referring sites, approximate country, browser, operating system, and device type. Website analytics do not use cookies.

We use information to create and save recipes, personalize recommendations, provide Chefie and guided cooking tools, manage subscriptions, support accounts, prevent abuse, and improve reliability. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-app advertising.

Recipe requests, chat text, and relevant preferences may be sent to AI providers to generate responses. Recipe photos are sent to an AI provider for safety review before they can be published. When you choose voice input, audio or transcripts may be processed by your device, Apple, or our AI voice provider to understand and answer you. We also use providers for authentication, hosting, storage, text-to-speech, purchases, and error monitoring. These providers process information to perform services for us.

If you publish a profile, recipe, cookbook, comment, or reaction, that information may be visible to other people according to the visibility you choose. Recipe variations may retain attribution and lineage to the original public recipe. Blocking and reporting tools are available in the app.

You control microphone, speech recognition, photo, and notification access in device settings. You can update your profile and preferences in the app. To delete your account, open My Profile, choose Edit Profile, and tap Delete Account. You may also contact justin@solitro.co.

We retain information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. After an account-deletion request, we remove or de-identify account information subject to reasonable backup, security, billing, and legal-retention needs. Recipes that you published publicly may remain available without your name, profile photo, or account link; private and unlisted recipes are removed. We use administrative and technical safeguards, but no online service can promise absolute security.

Hello Chef is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. We may update this policy as the service changes; the effective date on this page will show the latest version.
